Principal's Corner

Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,
Welcome to St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic School for the 2009—2010 school year. This
proves to be an exciting year for our school community. The Design for Excellence
Visiting Team, which is responsible for our school's reaccreditation, will arrive in
November 2009. Since January 2009 our school community has been analyzing our past
and present performance during the past five years, including our successes and areas
in need of improvement. We will continue to strengthen our achievements and make
adjustments when necessary so as to be firmly rooted in superior religious, academic
and extracurricular offerings. This "renewal" of our educational ministry is part of God's
plan for us.
We are blessed to have Fr. Kelly, Pastor, and Fr. Mullaney, Parochial Vicar, integrally
involved in the spiritual development of our students. This year Fr. Mullaney plans to
visit classrooms on Mondays with special focus on our second, seventh and eighth
grade students who are preparing for the sacraments of First Penance, First Holy
Communion, and Confirmation. With Jesus Christ as our model, we look forward with
anticipation to serving the precious youth that God has entrusted to our care.
Our school website has been developed to serve you as a good reference source
regarding our school's operation, policies and procedures. I hope you find the
information informative. Please note that we plan to make improvements in format and
design during the year so expect positive changes.
We want you to be fully involved in your children's education, and I am available to assist
you as needed.
May God bless you and your family during the coming year. May we reap the benefits of
God's grace and love.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Glenda M. Sigg
