Principal's Corner

"The first end I propose in our daily work is to do the will of God; secondly, to do it in the manner he wills it; and thirdly to do it because it is his will."

Dear Parent,

I have officially started my ministry as principal of St. Andrew the Apostle School.  I welcome you to our website, which is efficiency managed and maintained by one of our school parents.

I am blessed to be of service to our pastor, Fr. John Kelly, Fr. James Poumade, and the school faculty, staff, students and parents of our school community.  I look forward to a long and rewarding tenure here.  Mrs. Mary Albanese, retired principal of St. Andrew the Apostle School, has agreed to continue a part-time educational ministry as Assistant Principal so that we can assure a smooth transition for our school.

What a blessing it is to be able to serve the precious youth that God has entrusted to our care!  I can't think of a more rewarding vocation than to assist parents in the education of their children…an education in Catholic faith and traditions and programs of academic excellence so that our children grow to be successful, happy and healthy adults and be of faithful service to God and humankind.

Any school is only as good as those entering its doors, and I am aware that we have a wealth of spirituality, talent and experience among our ranks… in our priests, faculty and staff, students and our parents.  This is "The Good News in Education!"  I enlist you to join us in this journey, as we cannot accomplish our academic and spiritual goals without your parental support and involvement in your child's education.

I anxiously await the beginning of the school year.  It proves to be an exciting year…a Presidential election in the United States, 8th grade graduation, Sacramental preparations of First Holy Communion and Confirmation, and the beginning of our school's "self study" in preparation for the Design for Excellence accreditation process that occurs every five years …just to name a few very important events!

I look forward to meeting our new and returning students and their parents in August, if not before!  Please stop by to say hello if you are in the area.

If you have not yet made the commitment to Catholic education, I encourage you to visit our school, and I would be delighted to meet with you to discuss our programs.  An education at St. Andrew the Apostle School is an investment in your child's future so please consider a move to Catholic education.

May God bless you with a safe, fun and faith filled summer.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Glenda M. Sigg
